Responsibilities: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Product Manager/Engineer with extensive experience in core networking, Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), embedded devices, WiFi, Linux, Cisco, Juniper technologies, broadband, and MEF specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and will be capable of driving product requirements, build solutions for customers independently. 

  • Product Development and Management: 
    • Lead the requirements, design, development, and management of networking products and CPE devices. 
    • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring products meet customer and market needs. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure successful product delivery. 
  • Technical Expertise: 
    • Utilize deep knowledge of core networking technologies, including routing, switching, and network security. 
    • Develop and integrate embedded systems and WiFi solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. 
    • Apply proficiency in Linux for device and system programming and configuration. 
    • Implement and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper network devices and solutions. 
  • Industry Standards and Compliance: 
    • Ensure products adhere to industry standards, including MEF specifications and other relevant standards. 
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in networking technologies and integrate them into product development. 
  • Collaboration with ISPs: 
    • Work closely with ISPs to understand their requirements and challenges. 
    • Develop customized solutions that address the specific needs of ISP customers. 
    • Provide technical support and training to ISP partners to ensure successful product deployment and operation. 
  • Independent Execution: 
    • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively. 
    • Show initiative in identifying and solving problems, improving product performance, and driving innovation. 

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: 
    • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering with a focus on core networking and CPE. 
  • Technical Skills: 
    • Proficient in core networking technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPN. 
    • Experienced with embedded systems development and integration. 
    • Strong knowledge of WiFi standards and technologies. 
    • Proficient in Linux, including scripting and system administration. 
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper devices and solutions. 
    • Familiarity with broadband technologies and MEF specifications. 
  • Soft Skills: 
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. 
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results on time. 

Competitive advantage if you have experience with:

  • Experience with cloud-based networking solutions and SD-WAN.
  • Knowledge of network automation tools and practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. 

Annual salary range: $140,000 - $200,000
