, ,The VP of Operations will be responsible for managing and operating AXON’s SDN-based Network Management System. The primary focus area would be for CPE and Access Network Management and Operations with extendibility to Enterprise Network. The VP of Operations is responsible for ensuring high performance, resilience, and reliability, and related KPIs of AXON’s OaaS (Operator as a Service), Realtime Orchestration, and Network Management System platform in collaboration with other engineering verticals.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership: Aligning the Operations vertical with organizational goals and developing plans to maintain the Operational KPIs in close collaboration with internal verticals and customers.
Technology Alignment and Directions: Very conversant with Networking, Telecommunication, IP-Networks, Network Management System, Network Operators, SDN principles, Cloud Native systems, and Realtime Orchestration. Ability to guide the team towards proper technical and operational goals.
Project Management: Directing and managing Operations-related projects from initiation to completion. This will also include several automation system generations, external system integrations, etc.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Implementing, enhancing, and utilizing monitoring systems to track performance, functions, and operations, and proactively address issues.
Vendor Management: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with technology vendors and partners.
Compliance and Security: Ensuring network operations comply with relevant regulations and standards. This will also demand close collaboration with DevOps, Infrastructure, and IT verticals.
Team Leadership: Fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Building and leading a high-performing network operations team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within network operations.
- Extensive background in satellite communications, SD-WAN, and aggregation technologies.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems.
- A willingness to embrace and live the core values of Network Innovations.
Working Conditions
- This position will normally have office hours of 8 am to 5 pm local time, 5 days a week. However, the incumbent must be available 24/7 x 365, within reason, to address issues in the IT environment. The position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and software.
