Job Overview
The Junior LLM Agent Developer – Network Assurance supports the development and deployment of AI agents powered by large language models (LLMs) to enhance network reliability, diagnostics, and operational efficiency for Internet Service Providers (ISPs). This role is ideal for a technically curious individual eager to grow in the fields of applied AI, network automation, and operational support tooling.
The Junior LLM Agent Developer will contribute to the design, implementing, training, and integration of LLMs for automating network troubleshooting, predictive insights, and operational workflows. Under the guidance of senior developers and network engineers, this role will help build adaptive AI agents to streamline fault detection, reporting, and customer interactions.
Responsibilities:
AI Agent Development & Integration
- Assist in the development of LLM-based agents to support network diagnostics, ticketing, and operational workflows.
- Support the integration of LLMs with network monitoring tools, dashboards, and customer support systems.
- Contribute to prompt engineering and fine-tuning efforts to enhance agent accuracy in network-specific tasks.
- Help build agents capable of parsing logs, alerts, and diagnostics to offer actionable insights.
Operational Support & Workflow Automation
- Participate in implementing LLM features that automate fault detection, outage analysis, and SLA monitoring.
- Collaborate with developers and network engineers to enable agent-led actions such as ticket generation, escalation, and configuration change recommendations.
- Assist and contribute in evaluating agent performance in real-world operational environments and collect feedback.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with AI specialists, network engineers, and support teams to understand ISP operations and automation needs.
- Continuously learn about LLM frameworks, networking concepts, and DevOps tools relevant to network assurance.
- Support documentation of model usage, integration designs, and performance evaluations.
Key Metrics for Success
- Contribution to LLM Agent Accuracy – Improvement in diagnostic recommendation quality.
- Operational Efficiency Support – Reduced manual intervention through automation.
- Feedback Iteration – Responsiveness to feedback from network operations teams.
- Learning and Growth – Development of expertise in LLMs and networking over time.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelorʼs degree (or pursuing) in Computer Science, Networking, Data Science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience or internships in software development, AI/ML, or networking environments.
- Hands-on exposure to LLMs or relevant academic projects is a plus.
- Basic understanding of large language models (LLMs) and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face).
- Experience with Python and integrating and working with APIs.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, such as IP addressing, DNS, or routing protocols.
- Interest in DevOps/CI tools and APIs (e.g., FastAPI, RESTful services).
- Willingness to learn about network monitoring and fault analysis tools.
