AXON Networks is seeking a SIM Card Operations Manager (OSS) to strengthen the operational, technical, and vendor management processes that support SIM card production, SIM profile development, SIM inventory, and SIM management platform integration. 

This role sits within the Mobility organization and will help scale a business-critical area of the platform. SIM card management is a major value driver for AXON Mobility, with a significant portion of business value tied directly to effective SIM lifecycle management.  

This is a functional management role with no direct reports. The successful candidate will bring structure, technical depth, and disciplined execution to SIM operations so there can a focus on broader strategic priorities while the organization improves operational readiness, lifecycle control, and vendor delivery. 

 

What You'll Do 

  • Own SIM inventory operations: Manage SIM card inventory documentation, tracking, lifecycle readiness, and operational controls. 

  • Lead SIM profile development: Coordinate SIM profile creation and updates with internal teams and external vendors. 

  • Manage BAP testing: Oversee BAP testing for new SKUs and approve or decline new BAPs within established operating requirements. 

  • Drive platform integration: Support integration of SIM management tools into the AXON Mobility platform and related operational workflows. 

  • Lead technology evaluation: Run proofs of concept for SIM-related technologies, market solutions, and operational improvements. 

  • Manage strategic vendors: Own day-to-day vendor relationships with Valid, Thales, and other partners involved in SIM production, profiles, and lifecycle operations. 

  • Own SIM profile lifecycle management: Manage ordering, maintenance, OTA strategy, termination, end-of-life planning, and replacement activities for SIM profiles. 

  • Improve operational maturity: Maintain awareness of relevant market solutions and recommend process, tooling, and vendor improvements where appropriate. 

 

Desired Expertise 

Candidates with demonstrated proficiency in the following areas will be highly preferred: 

  • SIM card operations: Inventory management, profile development, production coordination, and SIM lifecycle governance. 

  • BAP and SKU readiness: Testing processes for new SKUs, BAP approval workflows, and operational release readiness. 

  • Mobile telecom technologies: SIM/eSIM concepts, OTA platforms, mobile core network concepts, and related telecommunications operations. 

  • OSS/BSS and platform integration: Integration of SIM management tools with CMP, BSS, OSS, and mobility platform workflows. 

  • Vendor management: Hands-on coordination with SIM vendors such as Valid and Thales, including technical delivery, issue resolution, and production planning. 

  • Operational process design: Documentation, controls, lifecycle tracking, and scalable routines for technical operations teams. 

 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. 

  • 3-5 years of experience in SIM operations, mobile technology, telecommunications, OSS/BSS, or technical operations. 

  • Experience with SIM card inventory management, SIM profile development, BAP testing, and SIM management tools. 

  • Ability to manage external vendor relationships and coordinate delivery across internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Strong technical communication skills with the ability to translate operational needs into clear requirements and execution plans. 

  • Working knowledge of mobile telecom or core network environments; direct experience with SIM vendors, OTA platforms, CMP/BSS platforms, or related mobile network technologies is preferred. 

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is preferred. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to travel globally. 

  • A valid passport without restrictions. 

  • Sitting and using a computer for extended periods of time. 

  • Ability to participate in remote and in-person meetings as business needs require.
